彭玉平教授《況周頤與晚清民國詞學》是其繼《王國維詞學與學緣研究》之後的又一部力作，該書的出版不僅是況周頤研究的一次重大突破，也將對當下不斷趨熱的晚清民國詞學研究産生積極影響。對於該書的學術評價，王兆鵬教授在序中用高度、深度、廣度、氣度八個字從四個方面加以概括，非常精煉，也比較周全，符合實際。除了王教授總結的四點外，該書的研究方法也比較有特點，值得關注與借鑒。(撮要取自內文首段)
