「蘇詩始學劉禹錫故多怨刺」辨

On the Connection of Liu Yuxi and Su Dongpo’s sarcasm

歷來論蘇軾詩學源出者，往往徵引《後山詩話》「蘇詩始學劉禹錫故多怨刺」這條材料，來説明蘇軾詩與劉禹錫詩的關係。本文從詩歌內容、作品風格及文獻資料各方面，論證蘇軾諷剌詩與劉禹錫詩本無關係。並指出蘇詩多怨刺實有本身原因，非學自劉禹錫。從而得出蘇拭雖曾學劉詩，然而決不在於怨剌的結論，推論今本《後山詩話》所載「蘇詩始學劉禹錫故多怨剌」之説，未必可信。

This essay attempts to argue, in terms of substance, style as well as bibliography, that Su Dongpo's sarcastic poems have no immediate connection with Liu Yuxi's. Su's sarcasm is not an offspring of Liu, though the former really learned something else from the latter. Accordingly, Houshan Shihua's view that Su derives his sarcasm from Liu is not a sound one.
