在一般的文學史敍述中,早期新詩的價值似乎主要體現在從文言到白話的變革上,而忽略了新詩審美品質的建構,這種説法其實簡化了新詩發生期的複雜可能性,在某種意義上,或許是一種歷史塑造和接受的結果。本文嘗試從這一問題意識出發,首先重新梳理了新詩的發明人——胡適的詩學構想,揭示出其中最初包含的內在張力,以及張力結構的逐漸位移;其次,通過對《嘗試集》的序言、編次、作品删選、題名等環節的考察,分析了胡適對新詩形象的奠基性塑造。在歷史還原的基礎上,本文最终要探討的是,早期新詩的多層內涵,是如何在其歷史合法性的建構中被暗中簡化的。

In the ordinary Literature History, it seems that the value of the early New Poetry mostly showed in the transformation from Classical Chinese to Colloquialism. In fact, this kind of opinion simplifys the complexity of the early New Poetry, which is the result of some historical acceptance. This thesis, starting from this point, will survey on Hushi’s conceive of the New Poetry, disscussing on its inner tension which deviated gradually, then observe on the compiling of "ChangShiJi", which includes the prologue, the order of arrangement, the selection of works and the naming of the collection, in order to explore how the fundamental chacater of the New Poetry was shaped. Finally it will discuss how the multi-connotation of the New Poetry was simplified in the construction of its historical legality.
