曹操《薤露》的首句現存三種異文：“惟漢二十世”、“惟漢二十二世”、“惟漢廿二世”。一般認爲，《薤露》是獻帝時的作品，它的首句指的是靈帝，“惟漢廿二世”是原文。但是，現在的研究兩漢歷史的書大多認爲靈帝是兩漢的第25代皇帝，獻帝是第27代皇帝。那麽“20”、“22”是怎麽計算出来的呢？根據前後兩漢的記録，我們可以知道，當時大略有三種“漢O世”的用法：數皇帝的人數（不含吕后），數皇帝的人數（含吕后），數皇帝的世代。（三種教法都不包括少帝、廢帝。）隨著時代的變化，數法也有所改變，“漢O世”有時候指皇帝本人，有時候指皇帝的朝代。本文試圖根據這一類資料來探討曹操《薤露》首句的内容和曹操做這首詩的用意。

The first line of Cao Cao’s “Xie Lu” has three different texts and two different meanings. The difference in meaning is in the number given to Emperor Ling. One calls him “Han’s 20th”, the others, “Han's 22th”. But now when we count all the Han emperors, they number 27, with Emperor Ling as 25th. How can we understand this difference? Based on historical material, this paper classifies the numbers into three categories, to explain the first line of “Xie Lu”.
