Abstract

本文探討了三個具有特殊意義的問題，它們對開發和試驗預防艾滋病病毒的疫苗提出了獨特的倫理學質疑。這些問題是：在大範圍內推進疫苗的效力試驗時，怎樣把行為干預結合到疫苗效力的研究之中，怎樣制定出計劃以對付與參與某項艾滋病病毒疫苗試驗相關的社令傷害，以及怎樣減少這些傷害。必須仔細地和日益地關注這些決策的倫理學意義。本文所提出的解決辦法包括：設計一種更複雜的預防試驗，這種試驗會把對行為干預與疫苗效力的評價結合起來；對個人的知情同意和社區的參與子以審慎的考慮；嚴肅而周密地設法制定出對付社會傷害的計劃，并使人們了解這些傷害，同時使這些傷害降低到最低程度。
