本期刊登的六篇文章皆與道家/道教思想有關，它們從不同的維度闡述了道的自然觀和生命觀，以及這種生命觀對構建中國當代生命倫理學的意義。其中，自然生命、人類生命、生態系統、生命價值、醫藥養生、終極關懷等議題，是本期探討的重點。中國傳統的儒釋道文化，對考量當今的倫理議題，還是具有一定的啟示作用。
