Abstract

This article makes a brief comment on Professor Cherry’s essay. After summarizing his main ideas, I put forward four different points of view. In short, I think his argument places too much emphasis on the impacts of liberalism on the transformation of marriage and family life, and overlooks the immense influences of technological developments and other societal changes.
