Abstract

This paper provides a brief introduction to Professor Kathryn Mackay’s review of the recent literature on public health ethics and her vision of the challenges faced by public health ethics in the future. The paper also reflects on the solutions that she provides for coping with public health-related ethical challenges and proposes Confucian familism as an alternative approach to deal with these challenges.
