本期論文是從香港浸會大學應用倫理學研究中心舉辦的第三屆「建構中國生命倫理學」研討會中挑選出來的有關儒家生命倫理學的論文。這些論文各具特點：有的側重探索理倫層面，有的主要關注實踐領域；有的討論一般問題，有的則試圖解決具體問題；有的分析外來主張是否同中國文化相互適應，有的則用中國倫理評判國際宣言。這些論文的共同之處，是以儒家的倫理學說為基礎來構建自己的論證；在“理論”方面，都帶有鮮明的中國特色。
